Here is the plan if you want to become a Virgin Galactic astronaut and do something truly extraordinary.

First, contact us. We’ll make everything very easy for you because we understand the process and have the right connections.
You’ll start by flying to El Paso, then checking in at Hotel Las Cruces. Spend one or two nights there—it’s a nice hotel, and you can enjoy a scenic drive and a beautiful sunset.

Next, drive to the Virgin Galactic Spaceport. You’ll meet the trainers, astronauts, and the team, see how everything works, and spend a couple of hours there. After that, continue driving to Truth or Consequences, a small town known for its hot springs. Spend two days relaxing and exploring the Wild West atmosphere.

Then, drive to Albuquerque, with a stop along the way to see the White Sands Desert. It’s a
truly unique place to drive through and hike around. Check in to your hotel in Albuquerque, spend a few days there, and then fly back home.
Take time to reflect on what you learned at the spaceport and make sure you’re ready for the major commitment of experiencing zero gravity.
Once you’re ready and approved, you’ll repeat the trip—but this time, there will be three days of training, and you’ll fly to space on day four.

The unique thing about Virgin Galactic is that you take off just like a regular jet. At a certain altitude, you’ll hear, “Release, release, release.” The spacecraft will detach, and the rocket motor will propel you into space. You’ll arrive in zero gravity, see planet Earth from above, and do a backflip—or whatever you planned.
Then, like a feather, you’ll begin your descent. As you re-enter gravity, the spacecraft transforms from its feathered configuration back into a jet by unfolding its wings. Before you know it, you’ll land smoothly—just like a conventional aircraft.
Isn’t it a great plan?
